My room

Spring break, and what am I doing you ask, cleaning my classroom. Now I would much rather be on a beach somewhere, dipping my toes in the water, but not so much this year. I made a list of things to do this week, and one of them was organizing my classroom. I always start out the year with the best of intentions of staying organized, but life gets away with me and it gets a bit cluttered. So while cleaning up my room I decided to take a few pictures of my room to share:)
 Morning Sign in

 Not so organized classroom library
Birthday board with pictures of kiddos holding up numbers to show the day they were born
daily schedule, specials schedule and behavior chart
Calendar, number chart and anchor charts
 Math shelf
 Block area
 Barbie area
 Dramatic Play

Writing center with my cute writing stools

Mother's Day

Happy spring break to me! We are unfortunately not going anywhere...boo! My hubby just started a new job a couple of months ago, and he is unable to get the time off. It is amazing how for-granted I take my vacation time. Granted, I spend 2-3 hours every night extra on my classroom- so it is well deserved. But it is not as much fun to spend it at home by yourself:/ Well I have been productive, I started my mother's day pack for when we get back to school. We do a HUGE program at my school. I can not take credit for any of it, my co-teacher has been doing a mother's day program for the past 25 years. YIKES! So, I just go it:) It is tons of work, but the moms seriously love it! We start out the day with a short 10-15 minute songs/poems performance. Then we go to our separate classrooms and give gifts and eat. We have the parents donate the food and drinks, so that saves us lots of money! Last year I put together a video slideshow of each kiddo saying why they love their mom. I put it on a CD for them to take home. It was great! So this year I decided that I was going to make a whiteboard gift, frame it, and have each kiddo write on it. Simple, cute, and cheap! So here is the pack I made to do when we get back!
