Meet the Teacher

Hi All!
I am joining all the linky party fun and linking up for Meet the Teacher!

A few things about me, I'm in my 6th year teaching and am married to my wonderful hubs. He is my best friend and partner in crime! I love that he is as silly as I am:)

We have two miniature poodles- who are brother and sister.  I consider myself a bit of an awkward introvert, who always figures out the perfect thing to say a few days after the fact...ugh! I love traveling and have been very blessed to have traveled all around the world.

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

Thrift shopping! I love finding a good deal:) I love traveling and discovering a new place. I love a cup of coffee first thing in the morning and cinnamon rolls!

IF YOU WEREN'T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
When I was in college I worked in the hospital as a nursing assistant. I was on track to get in the nursing program- but discovered blood makes me sick. So if there is something in the medical field that does not involve blood I would do that.

THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.
Motivated.  Strong.  Loyal.

FINISH THE SENTENCE, "________,  SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!"

"I have more than enough time, said no teacher ever!!!"

Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?

 The Road Forward

Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?
I would have the power to heal anything and everything

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?

Love it!!!;)

Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

"I've got the world on a string" ~ Frank Sinatra

Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?

I'm a night owl without a doubt. I can stay up all night, but morning and I have a love/hate relationship. I love getting up early and being productive, or seeing the sunrise and smelling the morning air- but it is the getting out of my warm bed that is the problem.

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU'VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?

I am new to TpT and still in the process of building my store. I think for me the things that have helped me the most is my beginning of the year packs. My orientation pack has made my Meet the Teacher night SO EASY! Next would be my homework pack, which has really helped my students master sight words.

Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!

My in-laws like to say that they arranged our marriage. Like I mentioned before, I was a nursing assistant during college, and one of my jobs was home care. I took care of a women who had been in a car accident who wanted me to meet her son. I was like absolutely not, but he ended up coming over for lunch one day when it was my shift, and every day after. Finally one day he got the courage to ask me out for dinner, which I hesitated about since I did work for his mom, but I am so glad I said YES! His parents like to claim that they interviewed me for the position of daughter in-law:)

Thanks for reading!

  3. Awww. thanks! It's a hard life being an introverted teacher! The hubs just shakes his head at me when I tell him some of my cringe worthy stories about awkward school moments!
