There are so many times when I just laugh out loud during the day while teaching. These little ones crack me up on a daily basis. I'm not talking that forced laugh that everyone does to appease others. I am talking about the take you by surprise, Oh my Goodness- I wasn't expecting that, I wish there was another adult around who could see this too, laugh. So I decided when those moments happen, I now have a section to share them:)
LOL moment #1- Last week we were working on handwriting, and doing the word man. I was walking around the room, making sure kiddos did not have floating letters, were using punctuation, all that stuff we preach all year. I was reading sentence after sentence of:
I see a man.
The man is in the car.
Then I come to one of my really good students, one who always is doing what he is suppose to do, when he is suppose to do it, one of my role models. His sentence read, with perfect handwriting, grammar and punctuation:
The man went pee outside.
I laughed, and laughed, and laughed. I laughed so loud that the other kids wanted to know what was so funny. I had one of those moments of do I tell them? I know if I tell them they will all write it on their paper, and I do not want to encourage it. So I did read them his sentence, but no one else tried to copy it- thankfully!
Thanks for reading
